 Nigeria was amalgamated in the year 1914. So what’s Amalgamation? Amalgamation is the process of uniting the northern and southern part of Nigeria together. This is what brought the east, west, north, south to be one and united: standing as a country and having one ruler (overseer). The amalgamation was brought by Sir Frederick Lord Luggard. Nigeria Coats of Arm

Coat of arms has a black shield with two white lines that form in a “Y” shape. The black shield represents Nigeria’s fertile soil; while the horses or chargers on each side represent dignity. The Eagle represents strength.

The “Y” symbol represents river niger and river benue. The Nigeria coat of arms was adopted on the 20 May 1960.

Lagos

Democracy: is the government of the people by the people and for the people.
