How to Make Good Use of Comment Backlinks

Now you have the list on your device and at your free will to use. But when I say free I do not really mean totally free.

If you use these sites to build comment backlinks wrongly, you might be putting your site at the risk of a Google penalty.

That means there is a guideline when it comes to comment backlink building.

The guideline is not given by Google but just something common sense should be able to tell you (Sorry for that hash word, but I have to tell you this anyway?)

1. Leave a thoughtful comment

Just the usual “Thank you for this informative post”, “Awesome content” will not take you anywhere and would not bring you to the spot light.

See the comment section as a part to help others and give your own expert advice on the topic.

Other readers who read your comments might be happy to click on your link and read your blog to find out what you have on it.

And this means that you are not only getting backlinks, you are also getting some traffic.

Not just that.

The blog owner might also be happy to feature you on his blog because he believes you are an authority when it comes to that topic too.

So that means you are indirectly building relationship with other bloggers in your niche.

2. Use your name and not your blog name in the “Name” section

Yes a lot of bloggers are victim of this.

They leave the name of their blog in the “Name” section. And they are only doing more harm to themselves.

When you leave a comment with your blog name, you are only making your comment look spam.

And that would not help you in the long run, because you might not have your comment approved.

While on the other hand, leaving a comment against your name will only build your online brand.

People who read your comments can easily recognise you.

If you are building backlink to your blog post, you would be safe doing something like this:

Eniola@ [Keywords] in the name section.

3. Send them an email

This is another thing most bloggers don’t do.

After leaving a comment on the blog, you can go ahead and send them a thank you email.

The thank you email will make them recognize you from the crowd who left comments.

And when next you comment, the blogger will easily recognise and will reply personally to your comment.

4. Take it to the next level

When I mean next level, I mean building the relationship with them.

You can do this by following them on social media, reply to their tweets, reply to their Facebook posts, etc.

But

Do not use all social media tool.

As a blogger, you might be tempted to be active everywhere, but do not.

Being active on all social media platforms will only make you less productive because many of them might not help your blog.

I had suggested that you become more active on twitter, because twitter is much more professional.

Over to you

Here we are at the end of the article. I have only included the list of blogs I know and you can help me continue the list.

If there are any other blogs that you know with a good domain authority and also accept do follow backlinks, and do follow backlinks you can help me out by giving them a shout out in the comment section.

I will continue to add to this list, so I advise that you bookmark this post in order to always get the updated post to work with.

You can also subscribe to my blog for free in order to get new post directly into your inbox.
